Missions trip debriefing part 1

This past summer, as many of you may know, I participated in the short term missions trip to Hilbre, Manitoba. It was an awesome experience, to know that God is in control when you let him, and that there is a specific plan for each and every person on this planet, is somewhat comforting.

July 3-17, 2004
Eagle Bay Camp

Hilbre, Manitoba
Expectations: none whatsoever
Mishap #1: Mel forgot my guitar.
Touchdown Winnipeg, drive through Winnipeg within minutes
2.5 hour drive through fields, cows, FLATLAND, a few shrubs
Reaching EBC
Staring in AWE at facilities
Horses
BMX
Archery
Riflery
Climbing Wall
Pool
MiniGolf
Craft House
Baseball Diamond
Large Field
Swamp
Lake
Campfire
CABINS
SHOWERS
Every necessity taken care of with abundance

Amazing weather, hot but not humid, SUNSHINE
BUGS
Fishflies, Mosquitos, Red ants

Kids
Rowdy, energetic, needy, lack of discipline, FUN
LICE
'Accidents' during the night
homesickness
DEVOS

Counsellors
Strangers, Aquaintences, Friends, Buddies, Lifelong
Counsellor breaks, pranks, accountability

Evangelism
